How it works
Many old houses have a door that stays open during the day. If it is open, the courtyard is public. If it is closed, leave it.
Our favourite route
Start at the corner by the pharmacy and cross three courtyards to the next street. You will pass a bookbinder, a small orchard and a very old pump.
Take your time
The best light is in the late afternoon. Bring a camera, and keep your voice down, people live here.
